Girl or Boy

 

Many girls, especially in certain cultures or environments, grow up believing that being a boy would have made life easier. This thought doesn't come from self-hate—it often comes from observing the way society treats boys and girls differently. Boys are often given more freedom, fewer restrictions, more value, and more encouragement in pursuing dreams, while girls may face limitations, judgment, or pressure to conform.

But the reality is, there is nothing lesser about being a girl. The problem isn’t with their gender—it’s with the social mindset that still hasn’t evolved fully to value both equally. Girls are strong, intelligent, resilient, and capable of shaping the world in every field imaginable. What needs to change is not the girls—but the system that makes them feel their worth is dependent on being born as a boy.

The future lies in raising girls who feel proud to be who they are, and in building a world that celebrates them equally.
